Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh!, Grease and
Amadeus.

June 8 to 18: Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh! performed
by the cast of the National Touring company and directed by Rob Krausz,
the show’s co-creator. This Allan Sherman hit musical received
an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination for Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical. The
show follows the misadventures of a young boy at summer camp, complete
with alligators in the lake, missing campers and food poisoning.
Performances are Thursday, June 8 and 15 at 8 p.m.; Friday, June 9 and 16
at 8 p.m.; Saturday, June 10 and 17 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, June
11 and 18 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Performances are at Monroe Lecture Center
Theater, California Avenue, South Campus.
Tickets are $25; $23 for senior citizens; and $15 for matriculated non-Hofstra
students with ID. Members of the Hofstra community may purchase
up to two tickets for $10 each upon presentation of a current HofstraCard.
July 14 to 30: Grease the fabulous ’50s
musical! Grease takes a satirical look at the dress,
manners, morals and music of teenagers at the beginning of the rock ’n’ roll
era. With musical hits such as “Summer Nights,” “Greased
Lightning” and “Beauty School Dropout,” the show revolves
primarily around the relationship between greaser Danny Zuko and the virtuous
Sandy Dumbrowski.
Performances are Friday, July 14, 21 and 28 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, July 15,
22 and 29 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, July 16, 23 and 30 at 2 p.m.
Performances are at the John Cranford Adams Playhouse, South Campus.

August 11 to 27: Amadeus by Peter Shaffer,
directed by Ed Dennehy. Produced in conjunction with the 250th anniversary
of the birth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Amadeus tells
the story of Mozart and court composer Antonio Salieri who, overcome with
jealousy at hearing the “voice of God” come from “an
obscene child,” sets out to destroy his rival.
Performances are Friday, August 11, 18 and 25 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, August
12, 19 and 26 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, August 13, 20 and 27 at 2
p.m. Performances are at Monroe Lecture Center Theater, California Avenue,
