Dr. Charol Shakeshaft

Dr. Charol Shakeshaft is widely quoted nationally and typically speaks on:

Charol Shakeshaft has been studying equity in schools for more than 25 years. She is an internationally recognized researcher in the area of gender patterns in educational delivery and classroom interactions. She has served as an expert witness in a number of legal proceedings on educator sexual misconduct as well as for cases focused on race discrimination in schools or the criminal justice system.

Professor Shakeshaft is widely published and widely quoted in the national media. She recently completed a synthesis of research on educator sexual misconduct. The study was mandated by Congress and released by the U.S. Department of Education in July 2004. She is currently examining the ways in which states collect information on school violence.
