Research at Hofstra University
We pride ourselves on our excellence in teaching. And all of us are convinced that for a student to get the maximum benefit from his or her education, it can only happen in an environment where teaching excellence is the highest priority. But teaching excellence doesn’t just happen. It needs to be enriched by a faculty member’s active research agenda and scholarly pursuits. Through journal articles, textbooks, presentations, concerts, exhibits, performances, our faculty have developed a national and international reputation. We have Fulbright Scholars, Guggenheim Fellows, National Endowment for the Humanities award recipients, National Science Foundation award recipients, National Institutes for Health award recipients as well as major foundation, corporate and state and local government grant recipients. We have 20 national accreditation which verify the quality of our programs and the good work of our faculty. We are proud of our faculty, proud of their scholarly productivity. They are clearly leaders in their fields and their expertise clearly benefits our students and the broader community.
