FERPA/Waiver Information
The Office of Community Standards welcomes the opportunity to partner with parents and family members in assisting students to develop mature judgment and decision making skills. We are, however, subject to compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (commonly referred to as FERPA) in maintaining the confidentiality of student conduct records. We encourage all students to openly discuss conduct issues with their families as issues come up.
Additionally, we are happy to speak directly with family members who have been included on their student’s waiver form. For more information about FERPA and how your student can submit your name on their waiver form, visit Hofstra's FERPA site.
