Care packages are definitely a sign that you recognize your son or daughter's efforts. They can also say, "I miss you." Even if your student does not live on campus, a nice surprise at the end of a rough week can put a smile on his or her face.
The Orientation and New Student Programs office is proud of our first-year students, and we want to assist families in supporting student accomplishments. That is why we offer families an opportunity to purchase survival kits for students during final exams. Families receive a mailing mid-semester describing each of the package options. Students will be notified of the special package and the personalized note that accompanies it. Show your student that you care. All you have to do is choose the Care Package you want to send to your student, and we’ll take care of the rest!
Once you order your care package, students will be notified prior to finals via e-mail and phone call that they have a package waiting! They can pick up the package in our office. All packages must be picked up by the last day of finals. All unclaimed care packages will be donated to charity. If you have any questions about your order please call (516) 463-6320. The Orientation and New Student Programs office and Hofstra Dining Services are pleased to offer you the chance to brighten your student’s day! Whether it's for a birthday, holiday, to congratulate them or wish them well, just order one of our popular baskets or packages! Or maybe you just want to drop them a note to tell them how much you care.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Please fill out the information, along with the order form and return the brochure along with a check (payable to Hofstra University ) or credit card (using the credit card form) to:

We will process you order and send it to Hofstra Dining Services. They will create your package choice, and we will let your student know they have a package waiting! Students can pick up their packages in the Hofstra Dining Services office in the Main Dining Room of the Student Center.
Students will be notified on the date you requested, and every day subsequently until they pick it up. Students will have 3 business days from the date requested to pick up the package. Refunds will not be given for packages not picked up.
Please submit orders 2 weeks before requested delivery date. Packages cannot be picked up on weekends or holiday, so please make sure that your delivery date is on a business day.
