International Students Orientation(Winter)

As an International Undergraduate student you have a MANDATORY three-day orientation from Sunday, January 25th through Tuesday, January 27th. These sessions will provide you with an opportunity to meet the rest of the incoming class and they will orient you to international student policy both from an institutional and immigration perspective.

You will receive more information about New Student Orientation once you arrive on campus. This is a time to meet people from a variety of campus offices, as well as other international students from around the world, to prepare your room through trips we offer to the local shopping mall; to adjust to life in the United States; and to acclimate to Hofstra University. In addition there are workshops offered that deal with adjusting to American culture, maintaining non-immigrant status, and services provided by the entire campus community.  Congratulations on your acceptance to Hofstra University!  We look forward to seeing you on International Student Move-In Day on Saturday, January 24, 2009, between 9:00am-5:00pm.

Please direct all questions about International Orientation to the Multicultural and International Students Programs office at 516-463-6796.
