Fraternity & Sorority Life at Hofstra University empowers members of Greek-letter organizations to promote and preserve the ideals of scholarship, service, leadership, campus involvement, and brotherhood/ sisterhood. Membership in Fraternity & Sorority organizations promotes personal development and a strong sense of identity with the institution, as well as post-graduate association. Fraternity & Sorority chapters enhance the quality of life for students on and off campus by providing a range of opportunities for meaningful individual involvement and growth.
Service
Fraternity & Sorority organizations have a strong commitment to community service. Participation in various campus, community, and philanthropic activities foster the individual's lifelong commitment to community service.

Intellectual Awareness
Fraternity & Sorority organizations create an atmosphere that encourages their members to broaden their intellectual horizons and sharpen their academic skills. In addition, Fraternity & Sorority organizations assist their members in the pursuit of scholarship and academic achievements by providing tutorial assistance when needed and rewarding superior achievement.
Outstanding academic performance is recognized through the National Order of Omega. This Honor Society salutes members of the Fraternity & Sorority community who are juniors and seniors, have a 3.0 grade point average or higher, and have excelled in campus involvement, fraternity/sorority contributions and community service.
