Fraternities and Sororities

Hofstra University maintains a strong fraternal/sororal community. As of November 2008, there are 26 active chapters: 8 sororities for women, 10 fraternities for men, 9 culturally based organizations and 2 co-educational fraternities. Each organization has different traditions, styles and personalities. Recruitment is open to all full-time undergraduate students who have completed at least 12 credits. Check the bulletin boards around campus during the first few weeks of each semester for recruitment dates and times.
