True Campus Leaders
" I found the majority of aspects of the Orientation program to be both enjoyable and useful. I had an excellent time at the dance party, participating in the activities offered on Tuesday night, and the talent show. Aside from the fun, I was given the opportunity to get a feel of the university and the individuals who I will be attending school with in the Fall which was quite useful. I particularly enjoyed the enthusiasm of the Orientation Leaders, for it was incredible motivation to get involved and helped me to instantly feel comfortable in the college setting. Orientation Staff
Orientation Leaders and Welcome Week Coordinators are upperclass Hofstra students who help plan and implement the Summer Orientation and Welcome Week programs. These students are responsible for helping incoming students with the transition to academic and co-curricular life on campus. During summer orientation, Orientation Leaders stay in the same residence halls and first-year students and lead them to sessions and give their perspective of college life. Both positions are one of the most sought after leadership positions on campus. We hope that you use our student leaders as a resource during your time at New Student Orientation, Welcome Week and beyond.
