SUNNY Roadtrip Experience

The SUNNY Roadtrip Experience is a traveling interactive program designed to engage students and bring the television series, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia (SUNNY), to campuses across the country.

The objective of the program is to get students to interact with the ‘SUNNY’ environment and create a lasting positive experience.

The program features a 35’ RV and a number of exterior experiential elements. Included in the RV interior are a replica of the ‘SUNNY’ set and a Green Screen Studio. Students who enter the vehicle will be immersed in the atmosphere of the show. Sample programming of ‘SUNNY’ will also be shown on-site.

The Green Screen Studio offers students the opportunity to perform as guest actors. Student performances will be recorded and integrated into an actual scene from the television series. Flat screen monitors will be mounted outside the vehicle to showcase students as they perform their scenes in the Green Screen Studio.

DVDs will be produced on-site and given to the students to take away as a record of their performances.Promotional representatives will be on the outside of the RV interacting with students, distributing premiums and directing the various activities. Representatives will also field questions from the students and provide information on ‘SUNNY’.

The SUNNY Roadtrip Experience will provide a unique opportunity for students and faculty to learn about the production of a television show and create a memorable campus experience. Students will be inspired by the amazing story of the show’s creation and gain insight into establishing careers after college.

Hofstra students were able to experience the SUNNY Roadtrip Experience on Wednesday September 12, 2007 in the Student Center Parking lot. Below is a slide show with pictures of the event.
