Catering Services




Your complete satisfaction is our main goal. The mission of Hofstra Catering Services is to exceed your expectations by supporting campus activities ranging from informal coffee and refreshment breaks to buffet and full table service dinners.
Hofstra University Catering Services provides the highest quality food and service to our faculty, staff, students, alumni and guests. Hofstra University is pleased to offer diverse catering options for groups of any size. We extend the same degree of high standards and services whether your event is for a coffee break serving a few or a formal reception for thousands. We have catered for an array of events, from small birthday parties to gala events. Continental breakfasts, luncheons, receptions, barbecues, and formal dinners are only a few of our specialties. Catering Services is happy to accommodate any special needs. Allow us to make your event memorable for you and your guests.

Food Service Options for Groups (2006 Menus)

Welcome your conference guests to fine dining at Hofstra!
Select from the following options: (Each option includes three meals a day served buffet style.)
Meal Plan A:
(All meals include an assortment of hot and cold beverages.)
Breakfast: fresh fruit, assorted cereals, and baked goods
Lunch: rolls/butter, salad bar, hot sandwiches, fresh fruit, one starch and vegetable
Dinner: Rolls/butter, salad bar, hot protein entrée, one starch and vegetable, and dessert bar

Meal Plan B:
(All meals include an assortment of hot and cold beverages.)
Breakfast: fresh fruit, baked goods, assorted cereals, breakfast potatoes, hot entrée
Lunch: Rolls/butter, salad bar, hot protein, hot sandwich, one starch and vegetable, fresh fruit, and dessert
Dinner: Rolls/butter, salad bar, hot protein entrée, one starch and vegetable, dessert bar, and fresh fruit

Meal Plan C:
(All meals include an assortment of hot and cold beverages.)
Breakfast: Fresh fruit, baked goods, assorted cereals, breakfast potatoes, one meat, and one hot entrée
Lunch: Rolls/butter, salad bar, hot protein entrée, hot pasta entrée, one starch & vegetable, fresh fruit, and dessert bar
Dinner: Rolls/butter, salad bar, hot protein entrée, one pasta entrée, one starch and vegetable, dessert bar, fresh fruit.

Meal Plan D:
(All meals include an assortment of hot and cold beverages.)
Breakfast: fresh fruit, baked goods, assorted cereals, two hot entrées, one meat and breakfast potatoes
Lunch: Rolls/butter, salads bar, two entrées, one sandwich, one starch and vegetable, fresh fruit and dessert bar
Dinner: Rolls/butter, salad bar, two hot protein entrées, one pasta entrée, one starch and vegetable, dessert bar, and fresh fruit.

Option 1: Meal Cards -- With meal cards, the event planner can determine a spending amount per person on a day-by-day basis or for the length of the conference. Card can be used at any dining facility at any time during the conference.
Option 2: Meal Passes -- With meal passes, the event planner determines the amount per meal. Paper passes are then collected at the register of any dining facility, and the group is billed only for the amount used.
Option 3: Cash -- Cash is always welcome at any of our dining facilities.

David S. Mack Student Center. Centrally located on the North Campus with 15 meeting rooms, Hofstra University Bookstore, Hair Express Salon, and the Student Center Café.

Hofstra University Club. Available for private meetings and formal gatherings. Located on the North Campus, adjacent to the main entrance with ample private parking. Suitable for conferences and other special events.

Hofstra USA. A freestanding dining and entertainment facility used for an array of events. Located on the North Campus. There is ample parking for cars and buses. Ideal for events of all sizes.
