Dining Services strives to create a home away from home experience by providing the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Student Focused Dining

At Hofstra University we strive to exceed expectations by tailoring programs, services and dining venues to meet the needs of the students and the entire Hofstra community. Through customer satisfaction surveys, focus groups, comment boards and an open door policy, we encourage communication and feedback, to help us better understand how to match our programs and services with the needs of the Hofstra University community. Our programs and services reflect the diversity and spirit of Hofstra University. Each location has its own identity with numerous food platforms and a large variety of items that can be enjoyed whenever your schedule allows. There is a meal plan to fit any lifestyle on campus with 24 hour dining services, 20 retail restaurant locations and a selection of meal plan options varying in points, tailored for any part-time and full-time student.

This summer, renovations are taking place at Hofstra USA and Dutch Treats to be completed by the start of the fall 2011 semester. The former Kate & Willy’s and Tapas will be replaced with a brand new restaurant featuring American-style grilled food, generous salads, and new twists on traditional favorites. Dutch Treats is being expanded and will boast a large, modern convenience store with a larger variety of grocery products and snacks.

Also being introduced this fall is new menu items at California Pizza Kitchen, Indian and Latin cuisine in the Student Center Café, and grab and go Au Bon Pain soups at some of our smaller cafes.
