Student Computing Services(SCS) hires students to be trained as computer lab student assistance. Those interested should fill out applications which are available in the SCS office, 106C Calkins Hall (at the rear of the Calkins computer lab).
SCS Student assistants, (SAs) are responsible for the operation and security of Hofstra's two open access labs (Hammer, Calkins), the computer repair center, the residential computing office as well as providing general computer support for students.
SAs work a minimum of 12 hours per week. Hours are available between 8 a.m. and midnight, 7 days a week. Shifts range from one to six consecutive hours.
