About the (Rec) Recreation Center

Exciting Fitness Opportunities...

This exciting facility, which services the University community, is located in the northeast corner of the campus. This versatile fitness center houses a multipurpose gymnasium, an indoor track, a fully equipped weight room, spacious locker rooms, a lounge area, a conference room, and a mirrored aerobic/martial arts room. Various programs are offered throughout the year, and are free to the Hofstra community.

Hours of Operation

Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to Midnight

Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. 

Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m.. to 10:00 p.m.

Entry Policies

All students, faculty and staff members are required to present a valid HofstraCard upon entry. Alumni must have an alumni card to purchase a membership to the Recreation Center at Hofstra University. Upon daily entry, a valid membership card must be presented.

Guest Policy

A guest of current students, faculty and staff may visit when accompanied by the sponsor. A guest must be 16 years of age, is required to present picture identification, and can only visit one time in a calendar day for a maximum of  3 days in a single month. Guests are not permitted to remain in the facility past 5:00 p.m. daily.

Smoking is prohibited in the entire facility.
