Entry Policies

All students, faculty and staff members are required to present a valid HofstraCard upon entry. We cannot use your 700# to look up your information.


2012-13 Fitness Center Membership Plans

David S. Mack Fitness Center memberships are sold at HofstraCard Services in the David S. Mack Student Center, Room 104.

Alumni Individual:

  • $300 September 1-May 31
  • $175 January 1-May 31 (Mid-year)
  • $100 June 1- August 31

Alumni Spouse/Domestic Partner:

  • $540 September 1-May 31
  • $300 January 1-May 31 (Mid-year)
  • $180 June 1- August 31

Prior to purchasing a membership, all Alumni must visit the Libby and Joseph G. Shapiro Alumni House and get an Alumni Card. Prices for your Alumni Card vary with year of graduation.


Employee Spouse/Domestic Partner:

  • $300 September 1-May 31
  • $175 January 1-May 31 (Mid-year)
  • $100 June 1- August 31

Members will not be permitted to participate in any recreational event or intramural program and are not eligible to sign-in a daily guest.


Guest Policy

  • A guest of current students, faculty and staff may visit when accompanied by the sponsor.
  • Guests must be 16 years of age and must present picture identification.
  • One guest can only be signed in once per day.
  • Guests are not permitted to remain in the facility past 5:00 p.m. daily.

Smoking is prohibited in the entire facility.


Student Employment

Various opportunities are available throughout the year to work as front desk staff, sports officials, and/or scorekeepers.

Work schedules are flexible and are arranged around personal schedules. No experience is necessary; however, a sports background is preferred. Any student wishing to work in the department should contact the office.
