The Career Center is in the parking lot behind the Monroe and C.V. Starr Lecture Halls, directly in front of Alumni House and the Shuart Football Stadium.
(1) Travel on the Long Island Expressway to Exit 38; then onto the Northern State Parkway to Exit 31 A; then south on the Meadowbrook State Parkway to Exit M4; and then west on Hempstead Turnpike. Follow directions labeled #3 below.
(2) Travel on the Southern State Parkway to Exit 22; then north on the Meadowbrook State Parkway to Exit M4; and then west on Hempstead Turnpike. Follow directions labeled #3 below.
3) At the intersection of Hempstead Turnpike and California Avenue (Hofstra Information Center/Public Safety at the corner) make a LEFT. Make the first LEFT onto Belmont Place and travel to the end of the block. Turn RIGHT onto Meadowbrook Place and go to the end, into the main parking lot. The Career Center will be straight ahead.
The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) has frequent trains to the Hempstead Station from Pennsylvania Station, located at 34th Street and 7th Avenue, New York City, as well as from the Flatbush Avenue Station in Brooklyn, New York. From Hempstead Station, use the free Hofstra shuttle bus service that meets most trains or use local taxi service to the Hofstra campus, about 1 mile away. See LIRR Schedule for current timetable.
