Influenza (i.e. the FLU)
Influenza is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. Illness can range from mild to severe and has been known to lead to death. Roughly 5-20% of the population will be infected with the flu each year.

Flu like symptoms are the following:
- Is a Cold or Flu [PDF]
- Sudden Onset of a Fever of 100 or more, along with the following,
- Sore Throat
- Dry Cough
- Fatigue
- Muscle and Joint Aches
- Stuffy or Runny Nose
