Influenza is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. Illness can range from mild to severe and has been known to lead to death. Roughly 5-20% of the population will be infected with the flu each year.

Flu like symptoms are the following:

• Is a Cold or Flu [PDF]
• Sudden Onset of a Fever of 100 or more, along with the following,
  • Sore Throat
  • Dry Cough
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle and Joint Aches
  • Stuffy or Runny Nose
