Ceremony Attendance and Cap and Gown Orders

To confirm graduation ceremony attendance and order caps and gowns, please visit www.hofstra.edu/academicattire. Click the Hofstra Online tab (located on the left side of the screen), and select the Personal Services Menu. Click the link Attend Ceremony and Order Academic Attire. Simply follow the easy online instructions, carefully check the order, and click submit. An order confirmation and the graduation information will display. Orders for academic attire must be received by April 19, 2013 for Spring 2013 Commencement.

Graduates! The Career Center would like to be one of the first to congratulate you on your upcoming graduation. We will be excited to see you when you come to pick up your CAP and GOWN. At that time, we will ask you to fill out a short online questionnaire to collect information about your career related experiences, jobs and internships held during your time at Hofstra and your post graduate plans. This will take no more than 10-15 min and your name will be entered in a drawing for a Hofstra diploma frame. We look forward to celebrating with you and welcoming you into the ranks of our Alumni.

To Pick Up Your Cap and Gown (Spring 2013)

You may pick up your academic attire in the Plaza Rooms located in the Mack Student Center between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15 or Thursday, May 16, or one hour before the commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 19. (Maurice A. Deane School of Law students may pick up their academic attire on either the above dates and location or an hour before their ceremony on Monday, May 20 in the Physical Education Building) (Please be ready to present your Hofstra ID card.)

Please remember to obtain your colored index card (schools listed below) when you pick up your cap and gown. This card will be used to place you in the procession, as well as to announce your name to the audience during the commencement ceremony. Check the card to be sure your name is listed correctly. If you name is difficult to pronounce, please write it down phonetically.

Also check your academic attire package to ensure you have a cap, gown and tassel (all graduates) and hood (for Masters and Maurice A. Deane School of Law Candidates.)

Academic Attire is retainable, so the student keeps it after the ceremony.

You may pick up your academic attire in the Plaza Rooms located in the Mack Student Center between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18 or Thursday, December 19, or  one hour before the commencement ceremony on Sunday, December 22. (Please be ready to present your Hofstra ID card.)
