The Multicultural & International Student Programs Office in collaboration with Student Counseling Services presents:
Coming Out! A Support Workshop on the Challenges of Having to Keep Yourself a Secret.
Join us for an informational and social support workshop for Hofstra University students who are considering opening up about their sexual or gender identity. Students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or who are questioning are all invited to participate. If you find yourself partially out or not out at all this workshop is designed to help you manage the process of coming out in a safe and supportive environment. Workshop participants will be asked to share experiences and help generate solutions; however students simply wanting to listen are also encouraged to attend. This small and intimate workshop will consist of three sessions over three consecutive weeks and students are encouraged to attend all three sessions. Registration is required to maintain privacy. Refreshments will be provided.
Week 1 – Monday, October 7th – Exploring Your Identity in Relation to Others, Family and Society
