It is not difficult to get to Hofstra from the airport. We suggest that you use a car service to meet you immediately after you arrive. This service should cost you approximately $50.00 US dollars. You can also contact the Ground Transportation desk at the airport that you arrive at to obtain transportation to Hofstra.
You can also take the train to Hofstra from JFK Airport. From the Long Island Rail Road you can take the East bound Hempstead Train from Manhattan to the Hempstead station. A bus or taxi can take bring you to Hofstra which is minutes away.
If you arrive at Hofstra between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., you should report to the Office of Multicultural and International Student Programs, 242 Student Center for assistance. If you arrive at any other time, please go directly to the Hofstra Information Center on the corner of California Avenue and Hempstead Turnpike. They will assist you to your housing accommodations.
