President’s Welcome

SGA is here to provide students, clubs, and organizations the resources they need to grow, succeed, and enjoy the Hofstra experience.  Student Government’s mission is threefold: we aim to 1) create community through programs and traditions; 2) allocate funds to SGA clubs and organizations in the fairest way possible; 3) investigate and address student concerns, while advocating for the betterment of student life.

This year, we’re looking to touch every corner of Hofstra University.  With our dedicated Senators and Cabinet Members, Student Government is able to work with all levels of the University to ensure that the people who have the ability to enact change hear the student voice.  In order to do that, we need to hear from you.  Help us bring about that change!

This year, we seek to restore spirit to our campus and create new policies with fresh minds and new energy to promote accountability, advocacy, and a new image for SGA.  Though the goals may be simple, the road to reaching them will be rough—we need the support of our fellow students.  I implore you, help out your SGA in whatever way you can.  Join us, join a club, Go Greek, support athletics, show us your pride, use Suggestions@Hofstra on Facebook as constructively as you can, tell us what you want, and we’ll see what we can do to make it happen.
