P.R.I.D.E. Week Events
The Division of Student Affairs is sponsoring the third annual Hofstra P.R.I.D.E. Week, February 25 - March 1, 2013 as we strive to promote our P.R.I.D.E. Principles and encourage our students to graduate with P.R.I.D.E.
- Personal and Social Responsibility
- Respect for Self and Others
- Integrity, Ethics and Leadership
- Diversity and Community
- Expression and Free Exchange
Throughout the week, there will be a large number of opportunities for students to get involved and learn more about the P.R.I.D.E. Principles. Each day of the week will represent a letter of P.R.I.D.E. and students are encouraged to attend as many events as possible. Events range from activities, to art projects, to speakers and more. The complete list of last year’s events can be accessed by clicking one of the letters below or by clicking here [PDF]. Events for this year, 2013 are listed below under the blue PRIDE tabs.
Also, we encourage Hofstra students, faculty, and staff to “Pay Your P.R.I.D.E. Forward” and engage in random (or not so random) acts of kindness throughout the week. Stop by the P.R.I.D.E Week table in the Student Center Atrium for more information, and click here for ideas on ways to Pay Your P.R.I.D.E. Forward.
