What is a virus?
|
A computer virus by definition is a program code that attaches itself
to other programs and can lead to destruction. The intent of a virus is
to automatically spread itself to other computer users. A computer virus
can be transmitted in three forms, which include diskettes (CD, floppy,
zip disk), as a download, or an e-mail attachment. Diskettes,
downloads and e-mail attachments that are infected cannot detect the dormant
virus.
