Several buildings, and several outside locations you might not expect, provide access to Hofstra's wireless network. The Help Desk's information about wireless access at Hofstra tells you where you can access it and how.

Over 800 Hofstra classes use Blackboard - but many also have shared network folders, Electronic Reserves through the Library, or use a faculty member's personal website on our academic webserver, people.hofstra.edu. Online can mean many things. Let us know what you need and we'll help you get there.

The Media Services department arranges to bring you equipment on a temporary basis when you need it. They also manage the Library's video collection. Contact Media Services at (516) 463-5989.

A single sign-on system means it's just that much more important for you to have a strong password! Starting in the summer of 2005, you can now set up your own self-service questions and change your password yourself - no more visits to the Help Desk!

FCS cooperates with the Libraries on many electronic resources. For instance, you can use Turnitin through Blackboard to preview students' assignments and check for plagiarism.
