Blackboard workshop, Dionne Teaching and Learning Center
Fall 2004

She then tells how she uses Blackboard for a graduate course in which students transcribe audio clips of children with speech sound disorders. Mustapha Masrour (Director of the Language Learning Center) details his use of the discussion board for courses in the Teacher Education Program. He explains how his strives to encourage students to share well-thought ideas during class discussions. Later, he shows how he used images from a textbook on illegal immigration to inspire discussion threads and teach students how to engage considerately in a controversial debate.
