When it comes to buying new computers or software for your classes or your research, we want to help you do it most effectively.
We would like to help you plan for the purchase, installation, and use of any academic computer facility on campus. If the University already owns something you're looking for, we'll be the ones to tell you. If you wish to make a purchase
for yourself or your department, fill out our online form. We will contact you to consult with you. We will work
with you to make sure that:
- You order the right software for your
needs.
- You don't order something we already
have for you.
We'll discuss with you whether it's most cost-effective and efficient to order privately or through the University because of one of our pre-existing vendor relationships.
Faculty and students can always order privately through an educational reseller such as JourneyEd.com. Hofstra University also makes
interest-free loans available to full-time Hofstra employees
for personal computer purchases.
