Gmail (pronounced Gee-mail) is Google's powerful webmail and POP3 e-mail service. Gmail offers 2 Gigabytes of file storage space, a search-oriented interface and a unique 'conversation view'!
Gmail was released in April 1, 2004 as a by-invitation only beta, and was opened to the public on February 14, 2007. Hofstra University has partnered with Google to offer you Hofstra GMail starting April 2007!
Your Hofstra email address will remain the same. Once Hofstra GMail is activated, all email going to your Hofstra email account will go to your Hofstra GMail account. You will access your new Hofstra GMail account through the portal. Your old email account will be available for you to review sent messages and save any past emails until June 1, 2007.
Your Hofstra GMail account has 2 GB of storage and many other great features.
Just think, "you'll never need to delete another message"!
