Office of Financial Aid

The Office of Financial Aid is responsible for providing all necessary information pertaining to the financial aid process. All students seeking financial assistance should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every year by April 1 for the upcoming school year.

Filling out the FAFSA makes a student eligible for federal aid, such as the Federal Pell Grant, the Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (SEOG), the Federal Perkins Loan, Federal Work Study, and the Federal Stafford Loan Program. All New York State residents may also apply and be subsequently approved for the New York State TAP Grant by completing the Express TAP Application that is mailed to the student after filing the FAFSA form.

If any students are receiving scholarships from their local high school or other outside agency, they must notify the Office of Student accounts.

Upon receipt of the financial aid information, a financial aid package will be mailed to the student. This financial aid package details all forms of federal, state, and/or University aid for which one may be eligible. All students should review their financial aid package for any special instructions.
