Summer Accommodations Suite Style
Hofstra University air-conditioned residence halls can accommodate over 4,500 guests in several types of residential settings ranging from suite style with semi-private bath to a traditional dormitory style set-up. All rooms include a bed, dresser, wardrobe closet, desk, chair and wastebasket for each guest. Free campus-wide wireless internet access is available.
Colonial Square is the largest residence complex on the Hofstra campus. It is comprised of 14 houses, arranged in three groups of four or five houses around a courtyard. Each two-floor house contains two-bedroom or three-bedroom suites with approximately 60 beds and semi-private bathrooms. Common lounge areas, kitchen and laundry facilities are found on the first floor of each house. Ample parking and athletic fields surround the facility.
Nassau and Suffolk Halls are located at the Northwest corner of the campus. This six story twin complex provides modern accommodations for approximately 600 guests. Both halls contain two-bedroom and three-bedroom suites each with a semi-private bathroom. Some suites also have a common lounge. Common lounge areas, kitchen and laundry facilities are found on the first floor of each complex.
Hofstra's newest residence hall is a four-story complex which consists of suites with mostly double rooms, common lounge and semi-private bathrooms. In addition, each floor contains a common lounge area and laundry facilities. Kitchen facilities, as well as a recreation and lounge area, are located on the first floor. Stuyvesant Hall (formerly New Complex) can accommodate up to 120 guests.
The Netherlands consists of two separate areas, a North court and a South court. The North court is comprised of six houses and the South contains five. All houses consist of two-bedroom suites, each with a common lounge and semi-private bathroom. A common lounge, kitchen and laundry facilities are found on the first floor of each house.
