Faculty Position in Information Systems and Business Analytics

Hofstra University’s Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics in the Fank G. Zarb School of Business is seeking outstanding applicants to fill an anticipated opening for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position beginning in Fall 2017. The Zarb School of Business is AACSB accredited and the IS/BA Department offers BBA and MBA programs in information systems and business analytics, MBA in quality management, MS program in IT, and MS in Business Analytics (pending approval from New York State). Our academic programs emphasize experiential learning with a project-based curriculum as well as interdisciplinary learning.

Qualifications: Requirements for the Position:
• Applicants must have an earned doctorate (ABD is considered) in IS/IT/CS, business analytics, data science, or a closely related field with a strong foundation in business applications and statistics from an AACSB accredited institution.
• Candidates must demonstrate potential for innovative and effective teaching with excellent communication skills. Candidates will be expected to teach in at least two of the following areas: large-scale data management, data visualization, analytical programming, artificial intelligence/machine learning, security, and ERP/CRM.
• Applicants must demonstrate potential for high quality research agenda. Candidates are expected to do strong scholarly work leading to publications in high quality peer-reviewed journals and presentations at academic conferences.
• Candidates must possess a strong desire to work in a collaborative environment, develop innovative learning experiences, support our students through the mentoring process, and serve the Hofstra community. Successful candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in an educational environment.
