The program prepares students to interact effectively with both information systems technology and organizational functions and work processes, to deal with information systems development and operations, and relate computer capabilities to the demands of business organizations.
The BCIS program is ideal for students who:
- Want to capitalize upon their computer knowledge and step into highly demanded positions in corporate information centers and to perform a variety of information support functions, designing appropriate applications for users.
- Want to participate in building information systems to be used in their future positions.
- Want to learn how to employ their information systems knowledge and experience to provide consulting services for other companies. Plan to major in other disciplines but who would like to develop their computer capabilities in concert with the study of professions such as accountancy, finance, general management, and marketing.
