Finance is often described as an analytical field of study. Yet, having an analytical mind is not the only way to succeed in finance. An imaginative and creative sense of what moves the markets, drives the values of financial and other assets, and keeps a firm financially sound is also a valuable skill. The mission of the Department of Finance is to teach the applied and conceptual skills required to meet the challenges created by the dynamic changes occurring in the financial marketplace.
