The mission of the Department of Management, Entrepreneurship and General Business is to prepare students to manage people and tasks in a variety of organizations in an ethical and global context. Programs in Management focus on concepts and practice in Human Resources, Operations and Supply Chains, Leadership, and Innovation.

Programs in Entrepreneurship train students in the process of opportunity recognition and exploitation for new and ongoing ventures in small and large organizations. Courses and programs in General Business develop a strategic, integrative and interdisciplinary managerial perspective.

To support the above mission, the department’s faculty members pursue excellence in teaching and a variety of scholarly research and professional endeavors.
