On November 25, 2008, the Zarb School, in conjunction with The Merrill Lynch Center for the Study of International Financial Services and Markets, presented a conference analyzing the implications of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 on the financial landscape.The program featured distinguished members of the financial industry: Lewis Ranieri, the chairman of Ranieri Partners Management, who is also considered by many to be the “father” of mortgage-backed securities gave the keynote address. Two panel discussions followed which featured,among others, Richard Ketchum, chief executive officer, New York Stock Exchange Regulation; Edward Altman, the Max L. Heinde professor offinance, New York University and Scott Rechler, chief executive officer, Rexcorp.
