Scholarships

Departmental scholarships are awarded based on academic merit. For students entering the program, the undergraduate GPA and GRE scores are used to determine scholarship eligibility. For students continuing in the program, graduate GPA is used to determine scholarship eligibility. Awards are in the form of tuition remission.

The M. A. program in Speech-Language Pathology has a contract with the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) which awards scholarships to qualified individuals under the Teach New York program. A student may apply directly to NYCDOE for the scholarship once he or she is matriculated in the graduate program. As the NYCDOE pays full tuition, students who hold this scholarship are not eligible for additional department scholarships. For more details, consult the NYCDOE web site.
