Welcome to the Gerontology Program

These graduate programs and courses are offered by the Long Island, New York campus of Hofstra University.

Since its inception in 1988, the Gerontology program at Hofstra University has been preparing students to meet the challenges and diverse needs of our nation's seniors, the fastest growing segment of our population. Our students enjoy small classes, individualized attention and cutting edge information and educational experiences taught by full-time educators and adjunct faculty who are experts in their chosen specialties.

Our classes are held during convenient evening hours to accommodate working professionals and non-traditional students who range in age from 21 to 75. Students have several options from which they may choose to pursue their graduate education. Depending on your background and interests, you may choose from a Certificate in Gerontology or from one of two tracks in our Masters of Science degree in Gerontology: Administration. Regardless of your choice, choosing the Hofstra University Gerontology Program is the right one. One that will prepare you for a successful career in the rapidly growing field of aging.
