Amanda Martin, Class of 2013, Accepted into Peace Corps – September 10, 2013
Amanda Martin, class of 2013, has been accepted into the Peace Corps and will be leaving for Ukraine on March 23, 2014. She has been assigned to the Youth Development Program, where she will be working with schools and other youth based organizations on developing programs and classes focused on topics such as life goal development, healthy lifestyle choices, leadership, and volunteerism. She is hoping to create a blog during her time in the Peace Corps.
The Department congratulates her and wishes her well during her time in the Ukraine. Amanda is the second recent graduate to be accepted into the Peace Corps. Sol Auberbach, class of 2008, recently returned to the U.S. after serving for two years as a volunteer in Malawi.
