Successful "Dinner in Asia" (Third in a series of "Diversity Dinners") held in the Department - May 2, 2013

"Dinner in Asia" was held in the department on Thursday evening, May 2nd.  It was the third successful "Diversity Dinner" hosted by the Get Global Student Club along with the Department of Global Studies and Geography.  Hofstra students and faculty representing various parts of Asia shared their cuisine, culture, music, and factual information.  Some 75 people gathered for a fun and fascinating evening!   With funding provided by the HCLAS Dean's Office as well as the Office of the Provost, this series of diversity events aims to broaden understanding across cultural divides and to foster student curiosity in our increasingly globalized world.
