Students majoring in the programs offered by the Engineering Department often pursue internship opportunities. Hofstra’s location – in the New York metropolitan area – provides many opportunities in the local region, although students also have taken advantage of internship opportunities across the United States. To help prepare students for all these opportunities, the Engineering Department supports numerous activities. The department sponsors events in which alumni and other professionals discuss career opportunities and network with our students. Finally, there are opportunities for students to work with engineering faculty in conducting grant-related research.
