Political Coverage

Students @ New Hampshire Primary

WRHU student journalists go into the field to enterprise stories, talk to newsmakers, gather facts, and work alongside professional local and national journalists. During the 2019 election cycle, WRHU student political reporters traveled to Manchester, New Hampshire. They worked in the CBS News media filing center, attended numerous political rallies, and created timely compelling content which they fed back to shows on WRHU.

Nothing grows talent quicker than experience. So, during the 2016 election cycle, WRHU student journalists broadcast alongside professional radio stations and TV networks at many exciting political events. Students broadcast from Talk Media News radio row during the New Hampshire primaries, covered many campaign events from the candidates up and down the east coast, and reported from the floor of the Democratic National Convention and Republican National Convention. The first Presidential Debate was at Hofstra. WRHU reporters were in the media filing center as they had been in 2008 and 2012.
