Hofstra IT Association

Hofstra IT Association (HITA) is a student club that is supported by the Department of Information Technology & Quantitative Methods at Hofstra University.  It is actively working to promote IT, to provide all students interested in IT the opportunity to become acquainted with emerging information technologies, and to contribute to the Hofstra community.
HITA Members engage in the following activities:

• Professional networking events with guest speakers
• Hands on workshops in such IT areas as ERP systems, SAP,RFID, and Wireless Networks
• Participate in discussion panels in technology and business applications and issues
• Receive special tutoring by other members and faculty volunteers
• Participate in online discussion and video conferencing
• Gain insightful knowledge from professional guest speakers about IT career  opportunities
• Learn about various skills needed in the workplace
