Part-Time Students

If you are a student in the part-time program, it is important that your time at Hofstra include discussions on a regular basis with one or more of the OCS counselors.

Take advantage of our services and make sure OCS is part of your career development from the time you begin law school. The timing of some things is different for you. For example, you will be eligible to participate in On-Campus Interviewing in the early fall of your third year, unlike full-time students who do so in the fall of their second year. Stay in touch with us to make sure you are aware of all your options and opportunities.

Legal experience is very important to your development as a law student and crucial to your ability to find legal employment after graduation. If you are not currently working in a legal-related position, it is very important that you get legal experience before you graduate. Make sure you meet with a counselor to discuss the best way for you to do so.

OCS is committed to making sure that the service for evening students is comparable to that enjoyed by day students. If you are unable to make it to OCS during our official hours, we are happy to accommodate you with a special after-hours appointment or a telephone counseling session.
