undergraduates reentering Hofstra
after a hiatus should contact the Office of Admissions, and reentering
graduate students should be in contact with their Program Director.

New
fall undergraduate freshmen and transfers
may begin their studies in the summer but must be in touch with the Advisement
Office (Memorial Hall 101, (516) 463-6770) for course approval. Registration
takes place through the Office of Academic Records (Memorial Hall, second
floor, (516) 463-6680). Students who attend summer session as visiting
students and wish to be considered for matriculated status for the fall
or spring semester apply to Hofstra through the Office of Undergraduate
Admissions (Bernon Hall, (516) 463-6700).

Visiting
undergraduate students may register by mailing or faxing (only
if payment is made by credit card) the completed registration materials
in this Bulletin or by visiting the Office of Academic Records on the
second floor of Memorial Hall. When faxing, make sure to send the Summer
Session Payment Form and both sides of the registration card(s). Fax documents
to the Student Accounts Office at (516) 463-4847. Visiting students who
intend to transfer Hofstra summer course credit back to their home schools
are encouraged to discuss their plans with an academic advisor at the
home school prior to enrolling.

Visiting
students are encouraged to attend Summer Sessions I,
II and III and may register directly by using the registration
form . Visiting undergraduates are not permitted to enroll in graduate
courses at Hofstra. (See registration
procedures.)

High
school students who have completed the junior year may
attend summer session at Hofstra University. Students may register for
certain introductory courses for which all prerequisites have been met.
It is strongly recommended that high school student discuss their plans
in advance with their guidance counselors. High school students apply
through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions (Bernon Hall, (516) 463-6700).

Nonmatriculated
graduate students may enroll in summer courses with
advisement from an appropriate faculty member. The non-matriculated admissions
process must be initiated at the Office of Graduate Admissions (Memorial
Hall, Room 106C, 1-866-GRADHOF). Students must complete a Graduate Non-matriculated
Application (with application fee of $60) and show proof of baccalaureate
degree. A maximum of 12 credits is permitted as a non-matriculant.
