There is always something going on at Hofstra. Our 24/7 campus gives you lots of options. You will never get lost in the crowd, and it is easy to make friends. Here are just a few ways you can develop a network of friends and stay busy after class.
- Join Hofstra Concerts, where you can organize major concert events on campus.
- Run for office in the Student Government Association.
- Write for The Chronicle, Hofstra’s student-run newspaper.
- Go to a concert at Hofstra USA, a unique entertainment complex that is the “home base” for campus night life.
- View contemporary art works at the Lowenfeld Exhibition Hall in the Axinn Library.
- Cheer on one of our 18 NCAA Division I Pride teams.
- Design a float for the Homecoming Parade.
- Celebrate a friend’s birthday at Kate & Willy’s.
- Buy a unique gift at the crafts fair during the annual Dutch Festival.
- Attend a conference presented by the Hofstra Cultural Center.
If you want a break from campus, take Hofstra’s free shuttle bus two miles to the local Long Island Rail Road station for a 30-minute trip into Manhattan. Enjoy the outdoors? Beautiful Jones Beach State Park and its world-famous boardwalk are 10 miles from campus.
