What about Hofstra struck the right chords for Chris? "I really liked the campus and the whole atmosphere of the school. I like the idea of having small classes and I really liked the Music Department - the amount of courses and career degrees to go for."
Being close to New York - but not too close - was another selling point. "I definitely didn't want to be in the heart of a big city. But I think it's nice to have it nearby."
When it comes to his favorite thing about Hofstra, size matters. "I guess it would have to be the small class sizes. That's a good way to get to know people. I like the overall class experience. You get treated like a real person. You're not just one of the many."
The diversity of the student body also comes into play. "I think that's very important. Hofstra has that, definitely. You meet people from all over."
