The Wilbur F. Breslin Center for Real Estate and The National Center for Suburban Studies at Hofstra University® hosted a free informational workshop titled Grant Opportunities for Local Government Efficiency Studies on March 1, 2012. These grants are available for municipalities, school districts, BOCES, special districts, fire districts and others to assist them in lowering the cost of services and making their operations more efficient. The speakers at this workshop included:
• Mr. Kyle Wilbur, Program Manager at the NY Department of State, explained theLocal Government Efficiency Grants that are available to defray the cost of studies and implementation.
•Ms. Katie Wilson, an expert in government efficiency, cost of service, and reorganization, explained the study process.
