Knife, Kapsicki, Nigeria

The 51 weapons in this exhibition were created by a variety of African cultures, primarily from central and western Africa. The weapons are swords (some with sheaths) and knives, produced using a range of methods and materials. Some items show their everyday wear, while others were ceremonial in nature.
