Bio:

John Mullen is Director of Operations of WRHU FM Radio Hofstra University and Hofstra's Executive Producer of NY Islanders NHL broadcasts. Mr. Mullen serves as chief technology officer at Radio Hofstra University. He works with students, faculty, staff, and outside entities on the development of new media (WRHU Iphone app / WRHU Droid app), the convergence of content across multiple platforms (GoHofstra.com, WRHU.org, Hofstra Alternative Web Channel, HTV, HTV Interactive, NHL GameCenter App), syndication of content (WRHU sports on WGCH AM Stamford, CT and WLIB AM New York City - NY Islander broadcasts on XM Radio), and social media marketing efforts (Facebook and Twitter).

Besides his work at Hofstra, John Mullen taught for many years in the MBA in Media Management program at Metropolitan College of New York. He also worked at MTV Digital Music Networks creating content for vh1.com and served as Long Island Bureau Chief for Metro Networks / Shadow Traffic creating content which appeared across multiple platforms (radio, TV, web, and mobile). Mr. Mullen spent four years as Operations Manager of Emmis Communication radio outlets KISS FM and CD 101.9 in New York City. His other radio career highlights include: serving as Program Director of CD 101.9, Research Director of Hot 97 New York City, and a year as Interim Program Director at WBLS FM New York City (where he also was Assistant Program Director). He co-invent the worlds first nationally syndicated classic rock mash-up mix show "Rockmixx" with his partner DJ extraordinaire Rafe Gomez. John Mullen began his radio career working in program and research management at WNEW AM.
