Bio

Mr. Pelaez has over 20 years management, leadership & strategic experience holding various senior level technology positions with a variety of companies large and small. Mr. Pelaez possesses a unique and diverse set of expertise blending strategy, management and technology and has a successful track record of leading organizations and groups through complex issues, developing strategies for organizations, and counseling managers and executives at all levels on strategy and leadership development.
For the past 15 years he has been a professor at Hofstra University, Zarb School of Business at both an undergraduate and graduate level in Information Technology. He has given numerous corporate and conference lectures on strategic thinking, management organization, and various leading edge technologies. More recently, he is researching and advancing the use of social networking and mobile technologies to help businesses meet the needs of their customers, and professionals achieve success through social media integration.
Mr. Pelaez is currently working towards his PhD and received a full fellowship to Baruch College at the City University of New York. He completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from New York University, a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from New York University and a Master in Business Administration in Marketing from the Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University. He is a member of the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Association of Information Technology Professionals and serves on the Executive Board of the Nassau County PAL Baldwin Unit.

Teaching interests include IT Strategy, Cybersecurity, Healthcare Information Technology, Data Analytics, Programming Courses, E-commerce and Social Media

Research Interests

His research interests and publications include Healthcare Information Technologym, Social Media, Big Data, Strategy (Economic and Technology), Online Customer Behavior, Ecommerce, Organizational Behavior.
