Industrial Experience:

Structural Engineer - Grumman Aerospace Corporation, May-Sept. 1968 and 1969. Developed numerical procedure for analysis of "Z" stiffened panels subjected to combined compression and shear. Developed sections of GAC Structures Manual on combined loads and on the stability of long columns.

Assistant Research Scientist - New York University, June-Sept. 1966. Conducted research on elastoplastic analysis of plane rigid frames. Developed numerical procedure for frame analysis utilizing displacement method of analysis. Programmed frame analysis for IBM 360 computer.

Civil Engineer - Nassau D.P.W., June-Oct. 1964 and 1965. Served as Acting Building Construction Assistant to Superintendent of Buildings. Responsible for the construction activities of all building projects in the County of Nassau, supervising a staff of salvo, consisting of engineers, inspectors and secretaries.

Designer - Praeger-Kavanaugh-Waterbury, June-Sept. 1963. Responsible for design and engineering layout of piers, bulkheads and fender systems. Conducted geometry studies using digital computer.

Senior Research Engineer - Republic Aviation Corporation, 1961-1962. Responsible for structural testing of components of F105D airplane. In charge of evaluation of tests of advanced structural development program. Conducted stress analysis of aerospace and airplane components.

Engineering Designer - The Boeing Company, 1957-1961. Complete engineering responsibility for compartment area of Dynasoar vehicle, supervising several engineers and technicians. In charge of engineering design of complete Dynasoar space frame. Conducted preliminary design of highly indeterminate structures of steel and reinforced concrete subjected to both static and dynamic loads for hardened and conventional missile bases. Responsible for design, stress analysis, testing and evaluation of pressure vessels of AM-350 stainless steel and 6 AL-4V testing and engineering evaluation of high strengths materials from structural applications and made recommendations to management on their usage. Responsible for testing and stress analyses of pressure vessels.
