Bio:

I received my BA in English Literature from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. After moving to the United States in 1998, I pursued my graduate studies in Humanities at Hofstra University where I received my MA in 2003, with most of my research focusing on Women's Literature in Lebanon during and after the Lebanese Civil War.

At Hofstra, I have been teaching Arabic Language at all levels since 2003 and Modern Arabic Literature in Translation since 2007, with an emphasis on Women's Literature in the Middle East.
